How YOU learn.

effective, friendly math tutoring and test prep

There are some common keys to successful learning. And there are ways to learn that are specific to you.
I help you develop proven habits of effective learning and help you understand how you learn best. You not only improve your math or test-taking skills. You set a foundation for success in all your future learning. And you might come to be fascinated by math!

I’ve been teaching math and test prep for 20 years focusing on Grades 5-10 in public schools (Bedford and Lincoln, MA), private schools (Buckingham Browne and Nichols, Fenn School), and independently.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics/economics from Brown University, a master’s degree in technology & policy from MIT and graduated from Shady Hill School Teacher Training Course.
I love tutoring and I care deeply about my students!
“You make math so much fun, and you always are encouraging us to try again and believe in ourselves.” K.P.
“You taught me so much, not only about math. You taught me that I can do this.” H.F.
“You gave me confidence to try hard problems and not worry if I had to start over and try a new way to solve them. Math became my strongest and favorite subject.” M.T.
Sustainable Finances
I want to support every student ready to invest in their growth. I have a sliding scale of $90-$140/hour, based on your possibilities. If this is a financial hardship for you, please talk to me! A sliding scale helps me include those without the financial resources to participate. Please consider contributing at the higher end of the scale and beyond, if you have the resources and willingness to do so.
I would be happy to talk with you about how you (or your child) learn and how we might work together! Contact rzctutoring@gmail.com or fill out the form below and I’ll be in touch.
